THE MUSIC PAINT MACHINE

Music Paint Machine

This was my PhD project, in which I developed (with a team) and evaluated (user & classroom study) an interactive educational technology that allows making a digital painting by moving while playing music.

In 2012, my work with the Music Paint Machine was awarded the EAPRIL Best Research and Practice Award.

Since 2010 and still ongoing, I have been touring with the Music Paint Machine in Europe, Canada, and the USA. While the soft- and hardware were not update, the MPM is still successful. I believe this stems from its strong pedagogical background.
